Met de ganse familie op vakantie in Samoens, Frankrijk juli 2012.
De eerste week daar in de bergen volgt ze nog een 5-daagse chemokuur. Dat was niet gepland. Na zes chemokuren zouden we het achter de rug hebben. Maar de chemo leek zo goed aan te slaan dat de dokters graag de kuur zouden laten doorlopen. En die chemokuur viel dan recht in de vakantie. Vakantie die we met zijn allen zouden doorbrengen in Samoens. Maar gelukkig, de chemo kon wel genomen worden in de bergen.
Veerle reikt er nog naar de sterren. Misschien, misschien kwam het toch goed … Nneka zingt Shining Star. Dat kan alleen Veerle zijn!
